Welcome!

It has been about a little over a month since we traded our beloved Passport in on a new Open Range Light fifth wheel.

Having spent 11 nights RV'ing to Washington, D.C. and back, we finally realized that with growing kids and a large Australian Shepherd, we needed more space.  So we set off on the RV search.

First, I should say how much we did love our 2011 Keystone Passport 290BH.  It truly was a great trailer and we had so many memories in it.  It was extremely emotional to trade it in, and regretted it almost immediately.  But now that the dust has settled so to speak, we are excited for new adventures.

Shopping new RVs was a bit different than when we shopped for our Passport.  It seems trailers have gotten bigger and we have a bigger truck to tow with.  We started off looking at bunk slides but soon discovered that bunkhouses that have slides have shorter bunks.  With our growing tall children, we needed bunks with length.  Plus, when we took the kids shopping with us, they wanted four bunks, not couches or dinettes.

We started off looking at two new Keystone Passports, a Laredo, Grand Design Imagine and Open Range Light 308BH.  Our sales person sent us the Open Range Light LF295FBH.  Initially, I blew it off because there was no bunk slide.  Plus it was a fifth wheel.  So while we have a truck that can easily handle a fifth wheel, we weren't sure about loosing our bed for bikes, boats, fishing gear, etc.

Well we took the kids to Lazydays to look at this fifth wheel and surprisingly the entire family fell in love.  After a couple of weeks of contemplating it, etc., we finally took the plunge and bought it.

I'll post pictures later.

But, we soon discovered a water leak in it after we purchased it.  Now it sits at Lazydays waiting for repairs.
